Registration

1) If you want to apply with KHB for a property, please do the following.

Procure the application form from any of the KHB division offices

Once the form is procured fill in the application according to the instructions in the application form.

Please make sure that you enclose your Salary Certificate and / or your Caste Certificate if applicable along with the form.

The Processing fees for LIG, MIG and HIG properties are Rs. 550/-, Rs. 1050/- and Rs. 1550/- respectively. Initial Deposit also needs to be paid for properties.

Please enclose a Demand Draft with your application for the appropriate amount.

Your DD should be drawn in favor of “The Housing Commissioner, KHB, Bangalore .”

Please send the filled –in applications along with certificates and DD to “Karnataka Housing Board, Customer Information Services, 3 rd floor, Karnataka Housing Board, Cauvery Bhavan, K.G.Road, Bangalore – 560009”.

2) Karnataka Housing Board follows two stages of payment

a)Pre-Allotment Stage.

In this scheme in addition to the registration fees the applicant has to pay an Initial Deposit to be considered for allotment of a property.

b)Post Allotment.

Property cost Payment is made after the allotment in 4 equal installments. The payment terms and the schedule of the installment will be provided along with the allotment letter.

Please Note that Karnataka Housing Board allots property ONLY on Outright Sale (ORS) basis and that it does not offer property on Lease Cum Sale (LCS) basis.

3) To apply for a Refund from KHB, please do the following;

Please send a Refund Request Letter stating the registration number of the applicant and duly signed by the applicant to “Karnataka Housing Board, Customer Information Services, 3 rd floor, Karnataka Housing Board, Cauvery Bhavan, K.G.Road, Bangalore – 560009”.

Please note that the letter should contain the registration number and the signature of the applicant to be processed by KHB. 25% of Initial Deposit amount will be forfeited before refund incase property is allotted and later cancelled either on request or due to default of payment. However in case no allotment is made to the applicant, full Initial Deposit shall be refunded. Also, please note that the amount collected towards the Registration Fee will not be refunded.

4) To apply for a change of address,

Please send a letter, duly signed by the applicant, to Karnataka Housing Board, Customer Information Services, 3 rd floor, Cauvery Bhavan, K.G.Road, Bangalore – 560 009.

Please note that the letter should contain the registration number of the applicant, the old address of applicant and the new address of the applicant, and the signature of the applicant for the request to be processed.

5) Following are the ways for Financial assistance:

Although, KHB does not directly provide any Financial Assistance, applicants, can avail financial assistance from leading financial institutions such as HUDCO, Canfin Homes, ICICI, LIC and HDFC. Applicants could also approach Nationalized Banks such as Corporation Bank, Canara Bank, SBI and other Banks.

In case the applicant requires No Objection certificate for availing Financial Assistance then the same will be provided by KHB on request.

6) KHB has the following Percentages of Reservation for allotment of its properties.
  18% of its properties are reserved for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes
  15% for State Government
  5% for Central Government
  5% for Defense
 

5% for Senior Citizens (in all Categories)

  3% for the Physically Handicapped
  49% for others
